BASF Declares Force Majeure on MDI

May 26, 2017

Dear Valued Customer,

Due to unforeseen high water levels and flooding on the Mississippi River detailed in the force majeure notice from Kinder Morgan announcing the closing of the St. Gabriel Terminal, BASF is unable to procure the necessary raw materials to continue the manufacture of MDI at BASF’s facilities in Louisiana. Therefore, BASF Corporation is declaring force majeure with respect to all Lupranate® MDI based products.

Your sales representative will be in touch with you to discuss the situation in more detail.

We appreciate your understanding of the situation.
