  • Dietmar Voggenreiter will succeed Luca de Meo as Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing at Audi AG as of November 1.

  • After gaining a doctorate at the University of Stuttgart, Dietmar Voggenreiter was employed at the management consulting company Horvath & Partners. He moved to Audi AG in 2002 and became in charge of the group's China business in 2007. Since 2009, he has been serving as President of Audi China. Under his leadership, Audi significantly boosted sales, expanded product range, and increased its number of dealerships in the country.

  • Amid Audi's increasing pressure from Mercedes-Benz, this personal change is considered a significant move for Audi as the automaker strives to increase sales. Voggenreiter will assist Audi in formulating global strategies with his profound experience and deep understanding of the Chinese market, and is expected to help Audi recapture its position as the world's second largest luxury carmaker next year.
