Go traveling by Chengdu – Chongqing High-speed Rail

Chengdu – Chongqing High-speed Rail is about to be open to traffic, and the time-space distance between Chongqing and Chengdu will be shortened to around one and a half hours in its initial operational period. What are the interesting places along the rail?
Chengdu – Chongqing High-speed Rail is the third railway vestibule linking Chongqing – the only municipality in Western China, and Chengdu – a big key city in Western China following Chengdu – Chongqing Railway and the Chengdu – Suining – Chongqing Railway of Shanghai – Chengdu Railway respectively completed and open to traffic in 1952 and 2006, which is also the fastest railway traffic corridor between the two places at present. After the opening of the rail, high speed trains will take Chongqing North Railway Station as the departure and terminal station, and the time-space distance between the station and Chengdu East Railway Station will be shortened to around one and a half hours.
It is reported that from Chongqing North Railway Station and Shapingba Station in Chongqing's main urban district, the public can visit such places as Jinyun Mountain, North Hot Spring, Ciqikou Ancient Town, People's Great Hall of Chongqing, Jiefangbei, Three Gorges Museum, Huguang Guild Hall and Hongyadong.
You can visit Bishan Confucian Temple from Bishan Railway Station, Tea Mountain and Bamboo Sea, Chongqing Safari Park and Locajoy from Yongchuan East Railway Station, Dazu Rock Carvings and Longshui Lake from Dazu South Railway Station, and Lukong Ancient Town from Rongchang North Railway Station.
After getting out of Chongqing, you enters Sichuan where there are quite a few tourist attractions. You can visit Naguan Stone Memorial Archway and Guyu Lake from Longchang North Railway Station, the former residence of Zhang Daqian from Neijiang North Railway Station, Chonglong Mountain and Zizhong Confucian Temple from Zizhong North Railway Station, Ziyang Giant Buddha and Anyue Giant Buddha from Ziyang North Railway Station and Sancha (Three Forks) Lake and Huaguo Mountain from Jianyang South Railway Station.
