"Chongqing-made smart" 3D printed artificial limbs

"Chongqing-made" smart 3D printed artificial limbs were released for the first time around the globe on the day.
On the morning of the 2nd, the smart 3D printed artificial limbs with completely independent intellectual property successfully developed by the Chongqing Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences were released for the first time around the globe at the Conference Room of Chongqing Disabled Persons Federation. At the site, a worker donated 10 smart artificial limbs to Chongqing Foundation for Disabled Persons and solicited 10 disabled persons from the public throughout the city to use them for free.
At the first release ceremony, the worker demonstrated how to use the 3D printing technology to make artificial limb parts such as as elbows, arms and palms and assemble them into an artificial hand. Operated by the worker, the artificial hand can do such work as skillfully taking a water cup and holding a bicycle handle.
