Today! A Beijing Recycler's Life

In China, recyclables are collected in communities by two groups of people. One pick out recyclables from mixed waste in dustbins or anywhere people produce waste, and transports it via tricycles. The other group stay in a fixed community and they buy recyclables from the residents. Both groups then sell the recyclables to recycling markets.

The film is about one couple's story. They have collected recyclables in one community in Beijing for 20 years. It shows their life as collectors in the daytime and their work to sell the materials to the recycling market in the evening. They make a living through recycling and have done this every day for the past 20 years in Beijing.
