New Book-[The Economy of God]-Chapter21-Part7

“Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains; of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, with cherubim the work of the skilful workman shalt thou make them.”
“And thou shalt make curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make them. &And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of sealskins above” (Exo. 26:1, 7, 14).
From thepassages we learn that there are four layers forming the covering of the tabernacle. The first layer consists of ten curtains of fine linen; the second is composed of curtains of goats’ hair; the third is a covering of rams’ skins, and the fourth is the outside covering of badgers or seals’ skins. These four layers of coverings form the roof of the tabernacle. Much has been written by others about the tabernacle and its coverings, but my burden is to point out how these coverings are related to the Lord’s building.
