The Lord Jesus and His Believers Are One Great Person

Let's Pray:

Lord, help us to realize that Your work today is to make home in our heart and to saturate us with Yourself, so that the whole church can be filled unto the fullness of God.

Hymn:437
Today's Verses : Acts 21:27-22:21
Key Verse:

Acts 22:7

Acts 22:8

And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?

And I answered, Who are You, Lord? And He said to me, I am Jesus the Nazarene, whom you persecute.

and Footnotes:

A (corporate) “Me,” comprising Jesus the Lord and all His (believers). Saul did not have this revelation. He thought that he was persecuting (Stephen) and other (Jesus)-followers, who were in the Way, which he considered heresy (24:14). He did not know that when he persecuted these he persecuted (Jesus), for they were (one) with Him by being (united) to Him through their faith in Him. To him this was a (unique) revelation in the universe! By this he began to see that the Lord Jesus and His (believers) are one great (person) — the wonderful “(Me).” This must have impressed and affected him for his future ministry concerning Christ and the (church) as the great mystery of God.(See Acts 22:7 note 1, 9:4 note 1 )
