Top 5 things to do this week

The best of the week
Make the most of your week with Time Out's essential guide to Monday 14 - Sunday 20 September
Art
Wonderment
Art+ Shanghai Gallery, until Sunday 18 October
Check out the recent work from Mu Lei, a Beijing based artist who has developed his own distinctive approach to painting and image construction. The exhibition reveals the relationship between contemporary practice and more conventional approaches to figurative painting. Mu seduces his viewers by ornamentalizing women as icons – playing with roles of power and objectification.
Bars & Clubs
Bondax
Arkham, Friday 18 September
Bondax was part of the wave of young, fresh-faced producers that sprung out of England ever-so-slightly post-Disclosure. It’s warm, soulful pop music by a couple of cheeky chappies who look like they’re never going to be able to grow beards. Don't miss out.
Dance
Tiger
Shanghai Grand Theatre, Tuesday 15 - Thursday 17 September
Choreographer Natasha Gilmore's Barrowland Ballet delivers a powerful, magical punch, where a tiger arrives and brings a dysfunctional family back together.
Film
Pixels
Cinemas around town, from Tuesday 15 September
Fans of classic arcade games like Centipede and Pac-Man, catch this sci-fi film about aliens invading earth disguised as beloved eight-bit avatars - if you can stomach Adam Sandler at all.
Music
Echo Park Festival
Shanghai Rugby Football Club, Saturday 19 - Sunday 20 September
With a little something for everyone on offer, Echo Park Festival 2015 could be Shanghai's festival of the year. Expect international headliners include singsong-writer Kelis, former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, experimental pop band Young Fathers, Manchester-based indie rock band Everything Everything, hip hop rappers Black Star and producer Bok Bok.

Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong acts include Duck Fight Goose, The Big Wave and Yunnanese all-girl electronic group South Acid Mimi Dance Team.
