  • Guangzhou is stepping up efforts to push ahead with the parallel car import business. Reporters recently learned from the Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce that the Nansha Area of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone has launched the identification for the second batch of pilot program for parallel automobile imports.

  • Dealerships intending to participate in the program must be those that have been registered in Nansha with registered capital of no less than RMB 20 million. These participants should have been in the car sales business for more than five years, made a profit for three years consecutively, and have sales of more than RMB 400 million in the last financial year or have been in the car import business for over three years, made a profit for two consecutive years, and have sold over 150 imported vehicles in the last financial year. Additionally, they need to have automobile repair, service, and parts supply networks and facilities appropriate to their scale of operation.
